OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOES NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove won’t turn on, be sure the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas models. If the stove is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, that means a different part will have to be fixed. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner with no heat will not do much. An oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner won’t ignite if an element is broken or when the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program settings don’t work. OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! When the heat is too hot, it might be because of an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to identify the reason for the issue and fix it. Always be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we are able to repair these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to have door issues often. The door won’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
